Royal Oak Whatlington Welcome to the Royal Oak, an historic pub restaurant at Whatlington in East Sussex, set in beautiful countryside just four miles from Hastings and two miles from Battle. With a growing reputation, the restaurant serves a combination of Modern British cuisine and homemade pub favourites with ales and wines to match, alongside a plentiful bar snack menu and specials boards located by our fantastic inglenook fireplace. We offer regular blues and jazz live music evenings at the Royal Oak and have a function room which seats 30 people for celebrations and private parties. Our beer garden offers stunning views to the west across the valley towards Battle, Mountfield and Netherfield.
